Please join me on this Sunday’s edition of Backbone Radio when we’ll talk politics and finance.
Those of you who listened to last week’s show (the last half hour specifically) will recall that I warned that I expected some serious stock market turmoil, mostly based on what’s going on in Europe. On Wednesday afternoon, the Federal Reserve released a statement saying that they feared economic weakness due to Europe and over the next four trading hours (Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning) the stock market (as measured by the Dow Jones Industrial Average) had fallen 600 points.
We’ll talk about what the Fed said, what it means, and why you should care.
At 5:30, we’ll be joined by Peter Ferrara, like me a columnist for the American Spectator, about his most recent article, “His Biggest Big Lies“, about Barack Obama’s intentional lies regarding who pays how much income tax in America and what Obama’s tax and spending ideas mean for our nation.
At 6 PM, we’ll speak with Michael Totten, Pajamas Media contributor, to talk about the recent events in and about the Middle East, including this week’s shenanigans at the UN and the status of the “Arab spring” in Egypt, which seems to be wilting the flower of Democracy through the poison of the Muslim Brotherhood. Michael is also an expert on Libya and we’ll delve into that subject as well.
In the 7 PM hour, we’ll talk about Thursday’s Republican Debate, which included former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, perhaps even more libertarian than Ron Paul. We’ll discuss who did well and who did badly, and what you thought of the questions submitted by citizens.
Please join me by listening to (and calling in to) this week’s Backbone Radio program from 5 PM to 8 PM on 710 AM KNUS in Denver and 1460 AM KZNT in Colorado Springs.
If you’re not in range of the radio waves, you should be able to listen to the show online by clicking HERE.
