Although I just saw this cartoon yesterday for the first time, it's apparently several years old. It is one of the most powerful political images I've ever seen.

It raises two primary thoughts for me. First, while we're rightly focused on our serious economic issues, we must not forget that radical Islam (which many would argue is nearly all of Islam) remains a long-term dangerous enemy.

And second, the trigger finger could easily say "Bailouts" or "New Deal Fever" or "Environmentalists".
