Evolving Republican thinking about McCain
Happy Leap Day, everyone.
For today's reading, I offer you this interesting (I think) interview/article I wrote for Human Events describing the slow but sure movement of people I consider to be the heart of the Republican "base" toward supporting John McCain.

Ross, I won't be one of the McCain supporters. It's not only the traitorous positions he has taken, but if conservatives cave and support him, we will be asked to support a liberal Republican next. That is what happens when voters allow their principles to be discarded in favor of expediency. I'd rather have four awful years of Obama to teach the country a lesson, but also alert the Republican Party that stabbing conservatives in the back has severe consequences.
