Has Islam been the enemy since its founding?
I've been traveling and haven't had time to write a piece for today, so instead let me refer you to this very interesting article in the Philadelphia Inquirer entitled "Post-9/11 conflicts rooted in history".
Author Jonathan Last makes the case that Islam has been the enemy of the West since it began.

I am not Muslim. I am not Christian. I am from a country that has dealt with Christian and Muslim invasions. Christendom has pushed it's faith by the sword just like Islam.
