Indian report: No global warming effect on Himalayan glaciers

In a report that’s already generating controversy, the Indian environment ministry released a report on Tuesday arguing that global warming is having no impact on glaciers in the Himalaya mountains, despite predictions of glacial demise by the UN’s IPCC.

While I’m not going to make too much of one report that has its share of detractors, it’s just the latest salvo in the war against the overall hoax of man-made global warming and the costs of their so-called solutions.

I love this line by an Indian delegate to a recent conference on the topic of worldwide carbon reductions: “If the question is whether India will take on binding emission reduction commitments, the answer is no. It is morally wrong for us to agree to reduce when 40 percent of Indians do not have access to electricity.”
