Jerry Falwell has been declared dead after being found unconscious and unresponsive in his office at Liberty College in Virgina.

While I don't cheer at peoples' deaths (with rare exceptions that tend to be in the Middle East), we're probably better off without the anti-semitic Falwell who was to Christians (in my view as a non-Christian) what Jesse Jackson is to Blacks: A self-serving promoter of anti-intellectual tripe who made the people he claimed to represent look bad.

So, Mr. Falwell, I can't say I'm sad to see you go. I wonder, if you're right about the existence of heaven, hell, etc., how you will be judged. For your sake, I hope it's better than what I think of you.

Ross, I happen to think that Rev. Falwell will be met with "Well done, thy good and faithful servant". If you had a clue about all of the good he has done to help folks throughout his life you would hardly characterize him as a "self-serving promoter of ...tripe". Occasionally, he misspoke-haven't we all at one time or another? Thanks to men like Falwell who followed the Word, we don't have to "wonder" if there is a heaven, we know there is, and we know how to get there. I know I'll meet Falwell there someday. Will I see you, too? Susan Boyer
