John Dingell's self-interest in a GM bailout

In a remarkable story, CBS News lays out the enormous conflict of interest which Michigan Congressman John Dingell has regarding the possible government bailout of GM. He and his wife have substantial holdings in GM stock and options.
In 2007, before GM stock crashed, GM was by far Dingell's largest asset, which you can see by clicking on "Assets" in the middle of this page:

[These are the most-recently filed financial disclosures, so if you hear something about a May, 2008 disclosure, that was when the 2007 disclosure was actually filed.]
You will also notice that three of his top 5 campaign contributors in the last cycle were the Big 3 automakers (Cerberus is Chrysler.)
