So long, Tim
While Tim Russert occasionally demonstrated some liberal bias as host of Meet the Press, he always struck me as someone who was genuinely concerned, honest, professional, and truly a nice guy.
He's one of those guys who has been around so long and has such a pleasant demeanor that you feel as if you know him even if you've never met.
I feel as if it's a little strange, though I'm not sure why, but I was sad to hear the news of his passing...far more sad than anyone else in a similar job would make me feel if they disappeared.
I hope that NBC finds a good host to follow in Russert's shoes. It won't be easy as he was the best in the business and NBC is, especially lately, not known for quality journalism other than Russert.
In honor of Russert, I think I'll go next NFL season cheering for the Buffalo Bills.
If there is a heaven, Tim, I hope and trust you're there. And if not (which is my assumption), all I can do is express my thanks and appreciation for your true contribution to our nation.

Two things...First, my real first name is Russert. I was told by my dad that He and Tim Russert were distant cousins...
Second, if it wasn't so sad, it was laughable hearing Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews talk about how wonderfully un-biased and objective that Tim Russert was. Wouldn't it be great if they followed his example

Compared to Matthews and Olberman, Russert WAS unbiased!
