Vaccine hoax justice, too little too late
I reported on these pages several months ago about the Lancet magazine finally retracting a fraudulent article relating vaccinations to autism, an article which has been responsible for many thousands of gullible idiot adults not vaccinating their children. It’s a particularly large problem here in the gullible idiot liberal town of Boulder which, while having one of the nation’s highest percentages of college graduates, has one of the nation’s highest percentages of unvaccinated kids.
Now the British medical licensing authorities are, finally, revoking the medical license of the doctor who caused so much harm, Andrew Wakefield as well as one of his already-retired former colleagues.
It’s not nearly enough. Dr. Wakefield should be tried for manslaughter or even murder because I am all but certain that there is at least one dead child in Britain or America who would be alive today if his or her parent had not heard of Dr. Wakefield’s completely fraudulent “research".
Wakefield says he’s not going away. It wouldn’t break my heart if someone, perhaps someone whose child died due to not being vaccinated – put him away…in a pine box. Truly, the man is no better, and perhaps worse, than Ted Bundy or any other serial killer and he deserves the same punishment as any other murderer.
ADDENDUM: As if to prove the point, a new study was released yesterday showing that there are no benefits to delayed or missed vaccinations. Another idiotic belief of gullible (and probably usually liberal) idiots such as many Boulderites is that kids can get vaccinations too close together or that the recommended timing for vaccines gives them to kids too early. None of that is true. (To be fair, there is also an income-related component; kids from lower-income families often have vaccines delayed probably because the families can’t afford them. For purposes of public health, this is a great place for a charity – not government – to get involved.)

Not a very deep comment. Can't you do better?
