As I recover from my good friend Rusty’s wedding yesterday, I’d like to offer you a few excellent articles from this past week for your Sunday cogitation.
First, in the WSJ, Indiana’s governor Mitch Williams talks about how if most state governments think their financial situation is bad now, they ain’t seen nothin’ yet. And the likely shortfalls in revenue below estimates and current spending are more likely to be quasi-permanent than many other governors have admitted to themselves:

Second, an IBD editorial about just the latest nail in the coffin (literally) of the British single-payer health care system which the American left wants to push our nation towards:

And third, but probably best, is a tremendous article by Charles Krauthammer about “Obama, the Mortal": “For a man who only recently bred a cult, ordinariness is a great burden, and for his acolytes, a crushing disappointment. Obama has become a politician like others. And like other flailing presidents, he will try to salvage a cherished reform – and his own standing – with yet another prime-time speech.”
