Looking back, how many believe that Hillary Clinton had a blood clot in the brain from a fall that delayed testimony. I believe there are other things she was involved in for the reason Obama passed her over for VP. Interesting the media is running with the emails story today although they were willing to meet behind closed doors with the administration for a briefing for a cover-up about the cover-up.

Since Obama was always a celebrity instead of president, I've always thought he should have gotten a good manger to handle him, do what Colonel Parker always knew, not to overexpose Elvis as to not let people get tired of the brand and always wanting more. The Obama presidency is akin to the drone program, let someone else do the fighting from afar and not have to have your hands on the wheel so you can never get shot down (the Limbaugh Theorem). I think a key moment where things took a turn was the gloom and doom sequester scare, how there would be no response to 911, utilities would go offline, you wouldn't get your social security check or even worse, you couldn't tour the white house to see where all those parties take place. What really surprised me about the media was to see Bob Schiefer reading from the Weekly Standard, a not old, main stream media source for the narrative of what happened in the cover up of Benghazi.

I am against this in the strongest possible terms, but I did run the numbers to see how long one could get $205,000 a year out of a $3.2MM nest egg at "current" interest rates.

If you start with $3.2MM and withdraw $17,083 at the beginning of each month ($205K/yr), and earn 4.5%/yr applied monthly (0.38%/mo), and assume a 25% tax rate on the interest, the nest egg will last about 265 months. A man's life expectancy at age 62 is about 20 years, so yes, the nest egg is sufficient to last nearly everyone as long as would be required.

I am not defending the idea. It smacks of governmental peternalism of the worse sort, and, like all class attacks, does nothing to better the plight of the "poor." It is idiocy in its most pure form. But I thought the numbers would be interesting to know, in case the argument arose.

By the way, I currently have about half of my retirement in Allianz inusrance investments that guarantee more than the 4.5% mentioned above, sothe interest rate is achievable. The 7% that was mentioned that would be required seemed to assume that the nestegg would attract no interest while it was being drawn down.

Eventually, you could substitute retirement with the size of a home. They may tell you a studio apartment is enough, in an area close to light rail, instead of keeping your large home in Winter Park. We're already approaching that point with the size and type of car you can buy. I was never a fan of caps on IRA type accounts. I always felt that if you were able, you should be allowed to put as much in those as you could possibly afford. Obama is already on record saying that there is a figure where you've earned enough per year.

It's amazing that the party that always does everything "for the children", did not center it's legislation or debate on school safety. No provision for armed guards at schools or a program to get teachers to conceal carry

These two women definitely had courage and guts to speak up like this. I have no doubt had they been armed they also had the guts to fight off their attackers.

The Democrats are despicable creatures who would leave other women vulnerable. Thye should call their bill the Campus Rapists and Mass Murderers Protection Act of 2013.
